Special Forces advisor to the 21st ARVNIK Infantry. This was the only company to wear this cover. This cover was his and given to him when he joined the company as there advisor.
The grouping has pictures of the men in the company wearing this cover, and the veteran and a silk written on the back of the patch is 1965 delta, along with is neck scarf. This is documented by letter from Jason Hard who owned this helmet cover over 20years ago.

Brought from an advisor, he made this himself during his tour, he used a us dress hat and covered it and sewed the material to the head band. Its size is 7 ½, his service number is inked to the head band, and there is an original 6 7/8 on the band
This hat come from a vet that was in Vietnam from 68-72 , mike s, Mueller, sp4, 18th military police, 720th mp.bn.
He was stationed at the prison hospital that held all captured wounded VC and NVA, this unit saw a lot of action in the long binh area. He was also on a armored car when it was hit by a RPG . The items he brought back will be posted in the each section of the collection for all to see
After ww2 the Thai army used the Japanese ww2 helmets and modified the suspension mounts and added there own suspension, this is a Thai Vietnam war era helmet, missing the padded suspension only

I saw these on eBay and no one was bidding, I got out the Jaunty Tilt book and starting looking at the labels, the labels are real, the berets are real, I could not pass them up at the price they were being sold far. I have had many ARVN berets over the years but i was never an expert on them but with the help of the beret book jaunty tilt i was able to document them as 100% original

These are very hard to find, I have only had this one chance to add one to my collection in all these years of collecting, thanks to a great friend and advanced collector who had two of them. One is rips stop and one is non rip stop, they are from a vets estate, my guess is he had them made for his sons, Robert and Ricky the South Vietnamese flag and the Viet Cong Hunting club are both war time original Vietnamese made patches, the hats are both short brim and size marked 58, 7+, they show little wear. One has two grenade rings in the front and the other a period snoopy bear can, Its been a tough year
