THIS IS AN ORIGINAL VIETNAM WAR SECRET WEAPON DECK OF ACE OF SPADES CARDS
I have not found much for my collection lately, this was a shock for me to find at the Alamo military store in St Louis
These are rare, they reissued these during desert storm but you can tell them easy, the backs are blue not red and the box is lettered differently as to not destroy the value of these rare cards
I like these pen flares, I saw this one with a rigger made pouch, its numbered 32 on the pouch, the holder is one I am not familiar with, its dated 1968
Special forces / sog were rumored to modify these into a last resort weapon
I have always wanted one of these, they are quite rare, I saw the first one years ago in a picture of a special forces bar. Since them I have seen more of them in pictures. I have only seen one other one for sale several years ago. Its salty, smoked stained and really neat
This is the finest war pendant I have ever seen, it is made out of heavy brass and polished. I have owned several over the years but non as nice as this one. It has been worn but still retains luster. This is not one of the copy junk types you see on ebay, look close you can tell a difference if you click on the picture
VIETNAM WAR TROPHIES - THE PRIVATE COLLECTION OF GARY E. ROGERS
This may well be the most exciting item I have ever added to the collection. I met Gary years ago when he was selling his fantastic collection. he collected before US citizens stated going back to Vietnam. He collected most everything including Uniforms, weapons, booby traps, and much more. I never new this book existed. I was contacted by Gary some time back and he wanted a few things for a display. I was offered this book of his collection in a trade for some items. I was thrilled that I could have a book containing Gary's collection before he sold it, the book is excellent, Gary was a very detailed person and the descriptions and pictures are fantastic. I have shown two pages of the book of items that I have or had in my collection from Gary. I have been able to purchase a lot of Gary's items over the years from other collectors that had some of his things. Gary's items have a tag on them that states it from the Rogers collection.
I have enjoyed talking to Gary again, He still collects, he still has a superior knowledge of the Vietnam war and the items that were brought back. If you have an item from Gary's collection or would like to contact him you can reach him at
One of three types of real death cards I have ever had in my collection. These were produced in decks of playing cards of 52, the address is masked to preserve the card from being reproduced. Recently one of the decks has surfaced complete with all 52 cards and in mint condition
Back of card - I had a choice of this card are the joker the day I bought this card, I chose the ace due to the fact that this is a bad ju ju for the Vietnamese
Theater made / 45 cal, holster with bullet loops and spare mag pouch on holster
The best of the bunch, this is a local made holster BUT, its well made, not like the cheap leather ones we all are used to seeing.
Well made and is named to a captain, he wrote his name in this at the time he gave it to a friend of mine at a vet jam at jefferson barracks in St Louis MO
In the last image, two really cool little local made holsters, both with bullet loops. One came with a smith model 36, the other is made for what looks to be a semi auto 32 cal weapon
ANOTHER DEATH CARD, THIS IS FROM THE C CO 2 /34 ARMOR
This is an original card, note there were some new cards made for the reunion of the 2/34, there are some noted differences so one can tell the original from the copies, this was done intentionally rare card.
Picture of the back of the death card, with a story from the company that made them
ARM BAND, A FIRST CLASS ITEM, AMERICAN INDIAN MADE AND WORN
No history came with this, the bead work is outstanding, war lord, with the American flag upside down, a distress signal. A great piece of 60's Americana
Gunners mate third class, 1968, river division 573, the picture is one I have seen before the patches are post war except for the river division on the right and the river patrol boat one on the right top, very cool display
Both came from same vet, stationed at Bien Phuc in the Mekong Delta, he picked this up in 69, he was 9th division, 2nd battalion, 47th infantry. Sean Flynn is Errol flynn's son
Not many of these survived, this is the only Chieu Hoi match I have ever found.
196th INF vet was wounded, during recovery the GSA brought over to Vietnam a wood carver, he showed all the vets in recovery how to carve, this is what the vet made in country before he went back to his unit
EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL VIETNAM MADE 1962 JUNK FORCE FLAGS
These were from the estate of a us navy vet that served in Vietnam in the early advisor period, I have the vets last name, he was one of the nave men that set up the original Junk force.Vvery very cool , only ones I have ever seen that are real
I was able to buy the second flag that is a small version of the larger flag, both are identical except for size. A nice addition to my collection
